Airlie Beach Aquatic Reef Club Inc

The Airlie Beach Aquatic Reef Club Inc is aiming at creating a better and brighter future for our children and our community. Our Club was specifically developed to support families with low income so that no child has to miss out on water safety, rescue or water swim survival training, our ocean and wildlife.

Therefore, we proudly provide the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive Active Program for all children, even for low-income families. We are highly certified swim coaches and Royal Life Saving Trainers affiliated with the Royal Life Savings.

Whitsunday Coast Life Saving Club

Our North Queensland Club is Whitsunday Coast Life Saving Club. The Club was originally known as Airlie Beach Whitsunday Life Saving Club, and was started in 2011, being the youngest life saving club in Australia.

The Club patrols Boathaven Beach (view here and here), which is a white sand beach, and importantly (for North Queensland), has a stinger net enclosure. The beach is an all-tide beach and is a favoured spot for tourists.

The Club has a very active Junior Lifeguard program and conducts Junior Lifeguard training in a variety of places including the Boathaven Beach, The Airlie Beach Lagoon (view here and here), and Hamilton Island.
